Top 5 Sights to See in Texas

Top 4 Sights to See in Texas

Posted on October 30, 2020November 3, 2020 by Katie

Known as the Lone Star State, Texas remains one of the most independent states you’ll find in America. With its long history, it will always be known as one of the first to ever defy control and gain independence.

With such a rich history, you would think that the place has a lot to offer. Well. you are right, so here are some of the best sights to see when you’re in Texas.

Caddo Lake.

Back in 1100-1200AD, there was a gigantic log jam, known today as “The Great Raft”. This log was able to backlog the red and Atchafalaya Rivers, causing the Caddo Lake to form. And let me tell you, it is one of the most beautiful lakes you will ever encounter.

With Spanish moss casing thick cypress trees and a maze of lush bayous and wetlands, this naturally made lake remains to be one of the most visited by tourists. And besides, it is a camp, then you can put a reservation in and experience the lake in all its glory all throughout the day.

The Texas Parks Department has done some excellent work maintaining Caddo Lake and installing some concrete paths around the park. Cement Tech LLC is a top-notch cement company in the NYC area. Check them out at their website (https://cementtechllc.com/) if you want to learn more.

Caverns of Sonna.

Near the city of Sonna, a cave straight from fantasy can be traversed, and let me tell you, it is probably going to be one of the greatest experiences you’ll ever get while in Texas. This naturally formed cave was, well, formed, during the Cretaceous period about 1 to 1.5 million years ago. Here, you will be taken into one of the heaviest collection of calcite crystal foundations in the world. With famous formations such as the “butterfly” and the “snake pit”, you’re sure to experience something magical.

Santa Elena Canyon.

One of the largest parks in the USA, the Santa Elena Canyon spans a whopping 800.000 acres, becoming a staple tourist spot for those who are looking to do some hiking. With such a wide and huge desert, all explorers are welcome to check it out for themselves and live their wildest Dune fantasies. There are a number of sightseeing spots you should go to first, like the Chimneys and Marufo Vega trails. But one place that you absolutely should visit, is the winding valley that separates the US from Mexico. Here, you will really start to see just how close we are to Mexico, and what only separates us is a valley just like this one.

Blue Lagoon.

So how about we take a break from all the vast deserts and swamps and look for something a bit more refreshing? Introducing, the Blue Lagoon, the scuba diving hot spot. Though this place is private property, you can always reserve a spot to get here and enjoy some fresh blue spring waters, to battle the unwavering heat of Texas.

Conclusion.

And those are just some of the most wonderful sights you can see here in Texas. There’s a lot more to experience, but those are better experienced than reading. So if you ever find yourself in the Lone Star State, at least now you know where to find the best spots. …
